FIREARMS & TACTICAL TRAINING

TRAIN HOW YOU FIGHT

Are you thinking about purchasing your first firearm?  Did you just receive your concealed carry permit?  Looking for advanced firearms and/or tactical training to build upon your previous experience and training?  At Spearhead Tactical we have a training program for you.  Spearhead Tactical is the firearms and tactical training division of Spearhead Global Security.  We firmly believe that anyone who owns and/or carries a firearm should have proper training, not just in the practical application and use of a firearm, but on the laws governing the use of deadly force and self defense.

Shooting is a learned skill-set that is perishable over time.  Developing a solid foundation of basic fundamentals, understanding the effects of adrenaline, knowing how your physiological response will impact your ability to engage a threat, and increasing your skill level to become a better and more accurate shooter are all factors that every gun owner should consider.  The more you learn and the better you shoot, the better chance you have of surviving a deadly force encounter.

Our goal is to provide realistic and effective techniques to improve your shooting and provide you wit the tools to increase your survival.  All of our firearms and tactics training courses emphasize safety and are taught by experienced and trained firearms instructors in a safe manner.  Please see our dynamic firearms and tactical training courses below.

Regardless of why you are clearing a structure, the fundamentals of CQE can be applied to any stealth or dynamic clearing operation.  Tactical Clearing Techniques is a basic introduction to room clearing and close quarter engagements.

You must be a member of Law Enforcement or Special Operations to attend this course.

Obtaining your NC Concealed Carry Handgun Permit is a fairly simple process.  In order to receive your NC concealed carry permit and legally carry a concealed handgun you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a US or naturalized citizen
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Have been a resident for at least 30 days in the county where you are applying for the permit
  • Not have a mental or physical infirmity that would prevent safe handgun handling
  • Provide a valid driver’s license or other photo ID with current address provided by the State of NC
  • Successfully complete an approved forearms training and safety course

There are additional legal prohibitions that may keep an applicant from receiving a permit.

The Concealed Carry Course includes 8 hours of classroom training, followed by a written test, then a shooting qualification on the firing range.  The shooting qualification consists of:

  • 10 shots at 3 yards
  • 15 shots at 5 yards
  • 15 shots at 7 yards

The minimum qualifying score is 70% (28 of 40) on a B27 human silhouette, or equivalent, target.

You must pass both the written and shooting exams.

At Spearhead Tactical we train you right.  We never cut corners and ensure that not only will you receive all the required training and understand the legal requirements to lawfully carry your concealed handgun, we also provide expert firearms instruction prior to your qualification shoot.

Do not be swayed but cheap courses from instructors with little or no real world experience who only care about numbers.  If you’re going to carry a concealed handgun, train properly - train to survive.
